I adore insects, and love the opportunity to incorporate them into my designs!  This mug was thrown during a Florida rainstorm.  The rain comes straight down from the sky and the salty earth opens up.  It smells absolutely incredible, and I wish I could bottle that sensation.  The closest I can get is by putting all of that pleasure, peace, and love directly into the clay.
